Sue is a top notch travel agent and there is no one I trust more than her to make my arrangements. So far she has planned two amazing and memorable trips for me.
I only had to give Sue a general idea and budget for both trips and she worked her magic. I am not exaggerating when I say that she delivered the most incredible itineraries for both vacations - nailing every aspect from flights and hotels, to excursions, to food recommendations and transportation. This fall we did our first ever greek/turkish cruise and every detail by Cruise Planners was managed with perfection with amazing service and endless entertainment. Sue Surat gave us several recommendations and we settled on an 11 night Azamara Cruise with multiple ports in Greece and Turkey. We started in Athens and per Sue's recommendations booked a couple of nights in the Electra Palace with rooftop restaurant views of the Acropolis and the surrounding city.
Before this trip we were unfamiliar with Azamara Cruise Lines but it turned out to be such an unexpected delight. Being a smaller ship there was an abundance of crew members always at the ready to meet our every need. Our room was the Club Continental Suite which gave us a butler and access to the specialty restaurants at no extra charge. Each morning he brought coffee at our desired time and each afternoon a plate of fine hors d'oeuvres appeared in our suite without fail. Needles to say we were struggling to save room for our special dinners.
Sue also helped us plan the excursions which were no less amazing. Being on a smaller cruise line meant smaller groups with the flexibility for the cruise line to flip port dates to avoid crowds. We rarely had to deal with long lines and going to and from excursions was a breeze on very comfortable buses.
Our only issue with the trip was that Azamara had recently split off from Celebrity Cruises to become its own entity. The growing pains for the year meant difficulty in reaching customer service and resolving any issues that came up. However having Sue at Cruise Planners was a big help as she was able to get answers faster via inside communications. All that was temporary though and by cruise time we were good to go.
As they say at Azamara it was an "azamazing" trip and would highly recommend both Sue at Cruise Planners and Azamara Cruise Lines. Sue planned a family trip for me, my husband, two adult daughters and 11 year old grandson. We were looking for someplace warm and sunny that would allow us to relax but also provide activities to keep my grandson occupied. Sue found a wonderful resort that satisfied our needs perfectly!
We enjoyed a wonderful stay in sunny Mexico with plenty of sun, good food and relaxation. There was a small water park and zip line on the premises of the resort right by the pool where my grandson could enjoy himself and we could relax and watch him.
Sue took care of every detail and kept us informed, which was pretty tricky due to the ever-changing travel rules because of COVID-19. “Recently, I spoke to Sue about a trip that she’d taken to Jamaica in November. Though I’ve also been eager to travel again, I wasn’t sure that it was safe to travel during the Covid pandemic. After speaking with Sue however about the comprehensive safety measures that many airlines and resorts have implemented, I decided to explore some potential vacation options with her.
I can’t even begin to tell you how helpful and reassuring Sue was! She listened thoroughly to my girlfriend and I about our ideas and concerns for a potential February vacation. Ultimately, she ended up recommending a resort in Mexico called SECRETS AKUMAL.
Once Sue assured us that we’d be fully insured and able to cancel our trip for any reason, we took a leap of faith and decided to book our first lavish vacation in a LONG time.
We got back from Mexico a few days ago and it was INCREDIBLE! Sue and her trusted travel partners were only a phone call away if we needed ANYTHING...however, everything did go off without a hitch!
Foremost, the resort that Sue recommended, SECRETS AKUMAL, was SENSATIONAL! The service, beach/pools, dining and entertainment were second to none. Safety measures were employed thoroughly throughout the property and we always felt like there was a reasonable amount of distance between us and the other guests/staff.
The resort even provided FREE on site Covid testing 2 days before our trip back to the USA. Many other resorts require guests to arrange their own Covid tests at local hospitals. Having one done at the resort was a huge relief and time saver.
In a nutshell, Sue made us feel comfortable and even inspired to take a vacation during these challenging times. Her guidance and recommendations were spot on and we felt completely safe each step along the way. Thank you Sue for all your brilliance. Sue has been working with me over the last year planning an amazing Alaskan vacation. When I first contacted her I was looking for a mini vacation to Bermuda, but the timing wasn’t right so I asked about an Alaskan Cruise. She told me she had a group cruising on the NCL Biss July 2019 so in June of 2018 we started to plan. I shared this info with friends & family. In the end we had 14 people in our group. Sue helped us plan excursions that was perfect for each member of our group. In January my husband & I decided to extended our trip with a 5 day pre-cruise land package in which Sue arranged for us along with my 2 children 23 & 16. Through emails & phone calls this wonderful vacation was planned. Sue arranged fabulous hotels and excursions from Fairbanks to Anchorage. We took the Tundra tour in Denali, visited Husky Homestead & played with puppies. The traveled using the Alaskan Railroad in Goldstar class which meant Dome car trains. While traveling through the state we saw moose, caribou, whales & eagles. Our children said this was the best vacation! Thank you Sue I would have never been able to plan this vacation without you

Sue helped my husband and me and twelve of our good friends plan an unforgettable trip to Alaska. At her suggestion, we chose Uncruise, because of its small size and excellent reputation. It turned out to be an adventure of a lifetime. Our side trip to Denali National Park, again at Sue’s suggestion was one of many highlights on our trip. We loved the train!
She was extremely organized and knowledgeable as well as very pleasant no matter what questions came up-trust me there were many. We recently returned from a two week cruise on the Wilderness Discovery . The trip began in Juno AK and ended in Seattle and was absolutely outstanding. Everyone agreed ! It was so good that we signed up for the offer to place a $750 down payment for a $700 per person discount on a future trip with Uncruise. My husband and I cruised to Cuba with my son and his girlfriend. When I told Sue that we were thinking about a short cruise, she asked if we had thought about Cuba. We hadn't thought of it originally, but when she suggested it, we jumped at the chance. Sue was extremely helpful throughout the whole process of planning the trip. She happily walked us through everything we needed to do, answered every question we had about the cruise and Cuba, and sent us suggestions of things to do and see. Sue made what could have been a stressful process, very easy and simple to navigate. She was very interested in making sure our trip was enjoyable, and would always get back to us immediately when we had questions or concerns. Our cruise was supposed to commence just after Hurricane Maria, and Sue was on the ball the whole time, checking with the cruise line about what was happening. Thanks to Sue's detailed planning and suggestions, we were very prepared when we arrived in Cuba to just enjoy ourselves. And did we! We took 3 excursions in 2 days, and loved every one of them. We did a walking food tour, a vintage car tour, and spent an evening at the Tropicana. I would recommend all of those excursions. In addition, we met many friendly Cubans everywhere we went. They were very interested in getting to know us and hearing about the United States. Quite a few people went out of their way to help us in navigating our way around Havana or giving us needed advice. We were sorry to leave. Our last day was spent on Great Stirrup Cay. It was a beautiful island, with plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing under palm trees. The Norwegian Sky ship was very comfortable and had many amenities and activities included. We really enjoyed the time we spent on this cruise. My only regret is that the trip was so short. My husband and I cruised to Cuba with my son and his girlfriend.
